Dermal Fillers

There’s a variety of dermal fillers to choose from. Popular brands like Juvéderm®, have extended product lines that treat specific areas and deliver specific results. Made with Hyaluronic Acid, which is a very safe and naturally occurring substance in the skin. Hyaluronic Acid helps the skin retain moisture, delivers nutrients, creates softness, and adds volume.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers come in a variety of thicknesses. Thicker gel densities (high G prime fillers) are used to add volume, structure, and support in areas like the cheekbones, chin, and jawline. Dr. Strazar will identify the right filler for your treatment at the time of your consultation. Determining factors include your facial anatomy, the areas treated, the length of time the filler lasts, the cost per syringe, and the desired look you’d like to achieve.

Hyaluronic Acid Fillers dissolve naturally and gradually over time. Touch-up treatments are required to maintain results.

Moles, Lumps & Skin Cancer

The medical term for a mole is a nevus. There are many different kinds of moles and they generally are non-cancerous. A ‘growth’ is general term that encompasses many different types of lesions on the skin’s surface and under the skin. Skin tags, lipomas (fatty tumours), and dermatofibromas (firm nodules in the skin) are some of the most common growths that are removed on a routine basis by plastic surgeons.

Removal of these lesions for cosmetic purposes is a frequent request for plastic surgeons in Toronto. A consultation with Dr. Strazar will determine how the lesion should be appropriately treated.

Scar Revision

The degree of improvement that can be achieved with scar revision will depend on the severity of your scarring, and the type, size and location of the scar. In some cases, a single technique may provide significant improvement. However, Dr. Strazar may recommend a combination of scar revision techniques to achieve the best results. A consultation with Dr. Strazar will determine how the scar should be appropriately treated.
